DOZING GREEN
作詞:京
作曲: Dir en grey
translation by deidrich
As I'm displayed in those worm-eaten eyes, my breathing halts
My soothed heart cries and falls away in droplets
The refreshing sun
mingles with the sound of the pouring rain
I question the void as my heart splits open and dances (1)
The white voice breath that escapes In The Sun
The wound obscenely opened (2)
fades into nothingness, wind of Dogma
Your heart dissolves (3)
In the dim morning, a 'good-bye' echoes
I question the void as my heart splits open and dances
Right now, I want to be alone
A single spring flower, it's sad, tender head crawls on the earth, and on you, too
Love Me
Abandon Hope

1: 空 in meaning emptiness, void, sky, open space, cavity, hollow etc; in this context, invokes the Buddhist idea of Śūnyatā quite strongly for me.
2: 傷口 kizuguchi literally means 'wound', but has the implication of painful memories and past mistakes.
3: Interestingly, Kyo uses three different words for heart in this song: kokoro, mune and shinzō. 'Your heart dissolves' would be the actual organ, as he uses the word shinzō. In the chorus he uses 'mune', which aside from heart also means chest, breast or centre. He uses kokoro only at the beginning of the song.
Lyrically, this is one of my favourites of Dir en grey's songs. The imagery is so vivid and beautiful.
蟲喰う瞳に見せられ息閉じる
撫で下ろした心がポロリ
清々しい太陽が
雨音ザラリグラリ混ざって
裂けた胸踊らせ空しさに問う
白い声 漏れる息 In The Sun
Love Me
Abandon Hope
mushi kū hitomi ni miserare iki tojiru
nade oroshita kokoro ga porori
sugasugashii taiyō ga
ameoto zararigurari mazatte
saketa mune odorase munashisa ni tō
shiroi koe moreru iki In The Sun
midara ni aketa kizuguchi
mu to kie naru, Dogma no kaze
tokedasu kimi no shinzō
usugurai asa, hibiku sayonara
saketa mune odorase munashisa ni tō
tadaima wa hitori de itai
ichirin no haru, namida moroi kubi to chi o hau kimi saemo
